DEC to Temporarily Close Seneca River Boat Launch to Allow for Tree Removal
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced a temporary closure of the Seneca River boat launch in the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge Area off Route 20, on the Barge Canal just south of Freebridge in the town of Tyre, Seneca County. The closure will allow for the necessary removal of trees near the boat launch, docks, and parking area during September 2 - 5, 2026.
