Boil Water Order Lifted in Southwest Area of Oswego City

The Oswego County Health Department announced the boil water order put in place on Tuesday, Aug. 25, is now lifted. The City of Oswego announced that residents in the affected area no longer need to boil their drinking water.

The order affected those living in the southwest quadrant of the city of Oswego, specifically in the area of West Utica Street and Hillside Avenue, including Morningstar Residential Center located at 17 Sunrise Dr., Oswego.

The boil water order was the result of a water main break in the area on Tuesday. City of Oswego Department of Public Works repaired the system on the same day and tests have come back as ‘satisfactory,’ meaning water is now safe for residents to drink and use for cooking.
