DEC Announces Reopening of Butterfield Lake Boat Launch

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the reopening of the Butterfield Lake Boat Launch located in the Town of Alexandria, Jefferson County. The boat launch is open again following the completion of major site improvements and ramp replacement.

The completed project includes a new concrete ramp and abutment with an accessible floating dock, parking area improvements, and shoreline stabilization around the ramp. Other accessible features include paved and striped van and vehicle-with-trailer parking spaces, access aisles, and a port-a-john.

The boat launch, parking area, and other site amenities are now open to the public.
